Describe your background in community and/or social action causes.

I became acquainted with the social video in 2003 not long after finishing college at the Department of Philosophy, University of Gadjah Mada University, Jogjakarta.

In 2008 together with some friends, I started to establish an organization called JAVIN – Independent Videomaker Network in Jakarta. Me and my friends made a short documentary about progressive artists, helping NGOs for short videos and documenting independently the social and political changes in Indonesia such as the war against corruption, the struggle for justice, etc.

What current issues are of interest?

carbon trading, human rights and environment, indigenous people.
